Loukas is an Attorney-at-law, admitted before the Courts of First Instance in Greece. He obtained his Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) in 2013 from the Democritus University of Thrace, being Valedictorian of his graduating class. In 2014 he was awarded a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate and Commercial Law with Distinction from the London School of Economics and Political Science. His dissertation, which also received a Distinction mark, entitled “The Interaction between Accounting and Capital Maintenance Rules in the European Union Legal Framework”, will be published in the forthcoming issue of the Utrecht Law Review, under the title “Accounting Standards and Legal Capital in EU Law”.
For the period 2016-2018, Loukas will participate in the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Taxation Program organized by the University of Oxford. Further, he is a Junior Associate at the Greek law firm Kyriakides Georgopoulos (KG Law Firm), specializing in Tax Law.
He is a qualified Attorney-at-law and a Member of the Athens Bar Association since 2015. His main research interests include Corporate, Insolvency, Tax and European Union Law, as well as the intersection of these fields with each other, Accounting and Business Regulation.
